Hey Check Her Out

Guess what guys?! Its time for my first outfit post! I know everyone is as terrified as I am.

What I've got on:
Urban Outfitters Top, got it with a Christmas gift certificate just a couple days ago and I am super happy with it :)
H&M Necklace, simple and vintagey feeling
Levis Jeans, they are a nice sturdy pair of pants that I have had for quite some time now
Urban Outfitters Hat, which I got on sale!

Now I want everyone to be aware: I do not consider myself a trend setter or an extremely fashion forward person. I would like to think I am well dressed, and on occasion I might take a risk or two, but in general I look like this. Jeans and a cute top are my staple, though I am trying to move towards skirts and tights it is still too freezing here to consider.

Also I am new to photo editing and am currently using Picnik. I realise that the photos don't all match exactly but I promise I will make an effort to improve my skills soon.

Thats all for now, hopefully this will become a more frequent occurrence around here!

Look its my boyfriend! and my ship wall art..

Camel

It's Official...There is not enough Camel in my wardrobe.
When I say not enough I mean I can't think of a single thing. Except these Gap shorts I got for my birthday once that didnt fit so I looked like an old man. But not in the cute Grandpa sweater kind of way, in the knobby knees, protruding belly kind of way. With pulled up tennis socks.

Anyways I was checking out Le Fashion and she had a gorgeous collection of camel themed outfits from Madame Figaro Greece. You should check it out too.

Bowling in Style

When I think of bowling the first things that come to mind are greasy pizza and adolescent birthday parties. One look at this glamorous bowling alley in Connecticut will change the way I look at bowling night forever.

See the rest of this beautiful location at belle maison!

Quick Post!!

I think bedrooms like this only look good in theory and in photographs.

In real life I bet it would always feel a little like you need a new coat of paint.

So, until I figure out my camera situation I have been putting off posting any outfit or crafting posts. But believe me, they are down the line somewhere.

Lace-up Ankle Boots

I need some. My life cannot go on without them.

via alixrose

Well, maybe NEED is a little bit of an exaggeration, and I'm probably going to make it tomorrow with my winter boots, especially considering the -35 degree Celsius weather we are being graced with but I will say I would be one stylish lady if I could add these to my wardrobe.

Since my only current occupation is being a full time student I must relay on my supreme budgeting skills, and the goodwill of my parents, to get me from month to month.

Unless booties count as a transportation cost? ...No? Fine. *pout*

So here are some examples for your viewing pleasure......and my extreme agony ;P.

Welcoming Party

When I decided that I was finally going to take myself seriously and start a blog I never imagined that I would face obstacles that had the power to make me want to turn and run right off the bat:
  • Choosing the title was the first hiccup. I bounced back and forth between wanting it to me "edgy" or whimsicle or even competely random. (Some contesters: "Hold that call", "Belt Buckles", "Under your Jacket").   I read a couple blogs already and their names all seem to be well thought out and appropriate. Examples: The Art of Doing Stuff no messing around there, Blue is in fashion this year kinda random but a great blog, I am momma hear me roar so cute and clever! Anyways I went with something more simple and true to what this blog will actually be about.
  • Next hurdle: not sounding like an idiot. It is very hard to write this first post and I promise to try and ramble less while still staying honest and true to who I am in the future. But this isnt a purely fashion blog or just a craft tutorial site, though it will have elements of both, this is MY blog where I come to share what inspires me. Maybe some day I will inspire someone else.

Thats all I've got for today, thanks for stopping by, I will be back soon and maybe give a little outline of what kind of thing to expect from Kate Inspired.
